2 Months Old! (Adjusted age: 2 weeks 6 days)

Today the trio is TWO MONTHS old! How did that happen?! This morning everyone got baths and weighed: Henry was 8lbs 15 ounces, James was 9lbs 2.5 ounces and Ellie was 7lbs 12.3 ounces.

James and Henry are doing better and better with lifting their heads. James is the best, very steady; Henry is a bit wobbly still. Ellie is just starting to lift her head and hold it up a bit. For counting their {adjusted} only 2 weeks old I find that rather impressive.

The kids are doing really well at night with sleep: They usually get their last bottle around 10 or so, then wake up (or we wake them) around 3am for another, and then they're down until 6am or so, sometimes 7am. Now if only we could get Ave and the dogs to cooperate and sleep well at night.

We have some major "spit up" issues. It's not your usual spit up, but isn't quite projectile vomiting. Whatever it is, it's a mess and results in several wardrobe changes for all parties involved in feedings several times a day. I had Henry to the pediatrician yesterday, because he hadn't gained any weight in 5 days. The guess is GER (Gastro Esophageal Reflux): We're starting Henry on prev.acid today because he seems to be in pain and is the worst of the spitting up. I'm really not keen on the drugs, but if it helps then we have to try.

James and Ellie also have their share of losing half their bottle on their and our clothes. It's most likely just that their bodies are not mature enough to really keep things down. Now I'm really taking my time with feedings and keeping them sitting up in swings and bouncies.

Other than the spitting up everyone is doing pretty good. They still are fitting in newborn clothes, but they're getting a bit tight in the length; most of the time they're in 3 months. They really are pretty easy babies. Now if only they would stop losing their lunch and start gaining again.

They're all sleeping in big chunks like that? That's pretty amazing. And I'm totally envious. I hope to be so lucky!!!

So precious! I love E's facial expression haha. Emmy had reflux issues and was on the medication it seemed to help.

Adorable! Happy 2 Months! Sounds like the babies are doing great with their night sleep for that age!

I know how frustrating/gross the reflux and spitting up can be. Two of my three have reflux and still spit up all day long. The meds do help them to not be in pain but unfortunately does not decrease the output :-( I will be so glad when they outgrow it!
