Wedding in Review!

Our friends R & R were married yesterday: It all went perfectly! I'm so glad too, because it was really getting stressful down at the wire because things were not coming together and people who had offered to help were backing out.

With how everything was going we were really worried how it was going to turn out. I told R & R that they needed to make sure they had some time alone on Friday night...they did. They turned their phones off, went for a walk, and ended up at our house. We all chilled out for a bit and Matt helped calm R, down while I talked to the other R....just to get them to relax.

The weather was perfect: 75*, sunny, but a touch on the humid side. The groom and his groomsman were all at our house by 1:30. They had lunch and got ready then headed over to the bride's parents' house (around the corner from us)...the wedding was in their backyard.

R is Scotch, so him and his father wore their tartans and mutual friends of our's are pipers so they played the bride down the aisle. It was actually very cool. The reception was held in our "backyard" (the field behind our house)...which was really awesome!

In the end everything came out perfectly and I think everyone had a lot of fun: We did. Matt and I got to swing dance and Ave was completely agreeable. We walked up the hill to our house around 9.

R came back to our house around 10:30 to get out of his kilt, get cleaned up, go pick up his wife and head off for their honeymoon. This morning the rest of the guys came over and got their tux bags and other stuff.
