“The sunflower is a favorite emblem of constancy” Thomas Bulfinch

Once a year at lunch-time I head onto one of the dirt roads, near where I work, to revel in the splendor of the sun. There is a field planted with sunflowers. Anyone can stop and cut what they like for 25c per stem. Here are my pictures...

It's also getting to be that time of year: The leaves are starting to change and the fields are getting the final haying.

Beautiful photo!

Ironically, it was a bunch of sunflowers I bought today that the cat knocked over :)

Thanks for the tip :-) I think I'm going for Ken Follet, it's been a while. I love sunflowers, I even posted a poem on my blog recently.
