"You can always tell a quilter from the threads she wears!"

This quote perfectly describes me: I went to the bathroom this morning at work and noticed a fuzzy in my hair. It wasn't a fuzzy, it was a 5" piece of thread. Anyways....here is the semi-finished top of Matt's quilt.

I'm hoping to square all of the blocks tomorrow night (meaning I cut each block so that they are the same size and perfectly square). I might even get it stitched together: One can dream.

I like the colors together. My only qualm is that I ran our of the light green and brown and had to go to darker fabrics (corners of the each blocks). If you look you can see that it doesn't quite mesh together. Matt doesn't care.

I have to add a border or two: Any ideas? It currently measures at 32x54, which will reduce down to 30x50 (I'm guessing) once it's squared and stitched. Matt wants it to be a full-size quilt (which is 84x90), so quite a bit I'll need to add as borders.

Wish me luck....

So gorgeous! My mother has become a quilter in recent years and I'm so envious of people like you who can see a quilt through to completion. I sew but I'm not sure I have the stamina to finish a huge project like a quilt. Maybe someday...
